Research overview
It is studied for calming inflammation, especially in the gut.
In mouse models of colitis (Gastroenterology, 2008), KPV entered gut cells through the PepT1 transporter, switched off inflammatory signals (NF-kB and MAP kinase) and reduced colitis.
