Peptide calculator
Enter how much peptide is in the vial and how much water you add. The strength appears as you type.
How it works
How do you reconstitute a peptide?
Let the vial reach room temperature, wipe both stoppers with alcohol, then draw up the bacteriostatic water and let it run slowly down the inside wall of the glass. Never squirt it straight onto the powder and never shake the vial: peptides are fragile and foam means damage. Swirl gently, or just leave it a few minutes, until the liquid is clear. Work out the strength above before you start, write it on the vial, and keep it in the fridge afterwards.
How do I work out the concentration?
Divide the amount of peptide by the amount of water you add. 10 mg in 2 mL of water gives 5 mg per mL.
What water should I use?
Bacteriostatic water is the usual choice for freeze-dried peptides. It contains 0.9% benzyl alcohol, which stops bacteria growing, so the vial can be used more than once.
Does the calculator give doses?
No. It does concentration maths only. Everything we sell is for laboratory research use.
